Join our Digital Industries Division as a Digital Communications & Power (DCP) with Industrial Security Services (ISS) Business Manager and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow. As a result of change within the team we have taken the opportunity to bring together and integrate the Digital Communications & Power (DCP) business segment with that of the Industrial Security Services (ISS) business segment under a single leadership. This is an exciting development as there are obvious synergies between the provision of industrial networks and cyber security measures/ solutions – it presents a real opportunity to efficiently provide a well-rounded product/ service offer to the client base. As a consequence, we are seeking to recruit a Business Manager for the combined DCP/ ISS business with the drive and vision to capitalise on this development. This is an incredible opportunity to lead a strategically important business unit within the Digital Industries division across UK and Ireland. There has been a sustained and significant growth over recent years providing a springboard for further development. The role is multi-faceted with responsibility for leading an experienced team covering business development, product management, partner management, services delivery and consultancy. It is a “hands on" role requiring a significant amount of customer interaction, often at executive level, to develop the business and secure strategic opportunities. We are looking for a bold individual, with a strong background in the network communications industry who has the drive to grow the business significantly over the coming years. You will be a strategic thinker with good solution selling experience, together with strong interpersonal skills, who is used to directing & driving teams to achieve stretching targets. Willing to challenge the status quo, and keen to explore new ways of achieving success, you must also be a good team player who looks to collaborate with others on a “win-win” basis. The role is multi-faceted you must be adept at handling a wide variety of technical, commercial and sales topics simultaneously. DCP/ ISS is a “people business" thus you must be passionate about the nurturing and development of the team to ensure that the business continues its successful trajectory of sustained growth. The role has a high profile within the Digital Industries division and is an ideal platform for candidates hoping to progress to general management positions in future within the company. Change the future with us. Responsible for the full P&L of the business. Devising and setting the strategic direction and business planning including local and HQ stakeholder engagement. Leadership and direction of the team Development and motivation of staff in line with business needs Development of an effective sales strategy which incorporates the identification, tracking and conversion of key opportunities. Identifying and evaluating target markets for growth for given portfolios including the systematic selection of target accounts within target markets What you need to make real what matters. Extensive knowledge of the industrial and power markets (wind & network operators) Experience in the rail infrastructure sector would be advantageous Sound technical understanding of networking technologies and cyber security solutions Experience of industrial identification systems (RFID, RTLS & Vision) would be advantageous Good awareness of Digitalisation applications Strong leadership capabilities/financial management encompassing P&L We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
