Company Description

The establishment of IKEA Supply (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (ISMY) is to support/drive improvement in the current and future Logistics/Distribution Network within Asia Pacific (AP). The organization will supply full range of IKEA products from High Flow and Low Flow goods to South East Asia (SEA) market including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India and future new markets within the region.

We are strategically located at Port Klang, near Kuala Lumpur to cater for an efficient goods flow with minimum lead time for the inbound flow.

Job Description

As Business Navigation & Flow Capacity Manager you take lead in steering the home furnishing business towards growth and goal achievement. You facilitate a strong performance culture and lead with insights in order to identify business potentials and enable innovation. You work actively to develop how to work, lead and organize in your unit in order to secure risk management, overall process implementation and compliance.

Assignment

  • Enable business development and innovation by being an active partner in business planning; securing that market, consumer and business intelligence is analyzed and acted upon, identifying potentials and risks in and around the business and exploring the future by building scenarios and contingency plans.
  • Secure conditions for a long term profitable business end-to-end by navigating and steering across the IKEA business model with a total cost and bottom-line profitability focus.
  • Lead business performance management; lead the translation of business plans into goals and steer toward a balanced totality, secure relevant performance reporting and follow-up and lead fact based decision making.
  • Facilitate a strong performance culture where navigation is pro-active towards clear goals, deviations are detected early and acted upon and where business insights reach the right receivers at the right time.
  • Secure overall implementation and compliance to processes and ways of working by securing governance structure, deviations handling, meeting calendar and year cycle in the unit.
  • Lead project portfolio management, to ensure right priorities in relation to business plan ambitions and balanced resource planning.
  • Responsible for financial planning, adherence to power of authority (POA) structure and common chart of accounts (CCA) and accurate accounting, budgeting and resource planning in the unit.
  • Responsible for communicating business results and goal achievement in a clear and inspiring way, making business analysis available and actionable and for working actively with raising overall business understanding in the unit.
  • Accountable for securing high quality range administration and compliance to range dimension frames.
  • Ensure that the unit is managed in a cost conscious way.
  • Responsible for leading and developing the Business Navigation & Flow capacity team and co-workers in
    the unit.
  • Co-lead organizational development and resource planning/forecasting in the unit.
  • In the matrix, contribute to the development of working methods and tools and share best practice.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent qualifications
  • At least 10 years relevant working experience in supply chain industry
  • Understanding of the IKEA business model, strategic landscape, IKEA Ways of working, and IKEA Range & Supply steering model would be added advantage
  • Understanding of the IKEA range strategy and corresponding range management rules and systems.
  • Good knowledge about project and project portfolio management.
  • Knowledge about business controlling and business analytics across performance areas.
  • Good knowledge about financial planning, accounting, budgeting and cost controlling.

Additional Information

This permanent assignment will be based at our temporary management office at Kota Kemuning during the establishment period and to be relocated to the new Distribution Centre in Pulau Indah, Port Klang, Malaysia in year 2020.
