The Business Operations Analyst is a key member of the Operations team supporting data analytics, client reporting, operational efficiency projects and problem resolution. This individual will address complex operational challenges and operate like an internal consultant to analyze and define strategic and operational improvements within our workgroups. This individual will interface on a regular basis with the Operations leadership team to recommend solutions and efficiency projects, report out on status and business returns of existing projects and develop templates to create efficiencies within existing reporting requirements.

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, intellectually curious, a fast learner, comfortable with ambiguity and working independently, able to focus on details while thinking strategically.  You will have the ability to solve business problems of moderate scope and deliver insights that enable timely and effective operational decision-making.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Business Support Analyst is a part of an elite group of personnel providing support to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, Workplace Solutions clients.  This support includes, but is not limited to:

  • Partner with key business personnel in answering complex questions with both quantitative and qualitative insights
  • Support key Operations projects to include planning, requirements gathering, management, analysis, training and execution
  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively
  • Develop, track and report on key operational metrics in partnership with key business leaders
  • Work both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative and constructive thinking.
  • Understand data management controls and business process intelligence
  • Understand and translate business requirements into system requirements incorporating timing, contingencies and limitations
  • Exercise sound judgment and critical decision making within approved guidelines on business process and system requirements
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for promoting continuous improvement for all Operational departments
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, business strategy, or operational excellence / process improvement

Preferred

  • Strong communicator with excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional listening, logical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and utilize internal applications.
  • Strong/Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
  • Ability to manage systems which help insure quality of service is met/exceeded
  • Ability to analyzing anomalies and debugging concepts
  • Occupational Health Services, Call Center and Drug testing industry experience preferred
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environment with limited guidance
  • SQL and database management experience (preferred)
  • Microsoft Power BI experience (preferred)
  • Six sigma or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • Extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously
  • Experience presenting and analyzing large quantities of data with strong spreadsheet and database query experience (e.g. SQL)
