About The Role:

The Sales Operations Department provides operational support and strategic support to global sales teams and provides the critical link between sales and many cross-functional departments. The team works closely with many departments to ensure all activities are completed with a high degree of accuracy. The team has a reputation for high standards and high-quality data provision, and this reputation needs to be maintained at all times.

The Business Operations Manager will report to the Global Business Operations Director and be responsible for leading and managing the Commercial Operations team. This is a highly visible and complex role in a matrixed organization. The candidate will be required to support and work with Senior Leadership and sales teams across the entire organization on items such as sales processes, order processing, process and system enhancements, and sales training.

The successful candidate must be passionate and a proactive visionary for the team and the organization. In addition, the candidate must be a strong leader, extremely well organized, detail-oriented, quality-minded, and possess excellent written & verbal communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for leading a team in achieving business and operational objectives.
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Assess, design, and execute improvements to the current structure, processes, tools, and metrics, and coordinate actions for optimized efficiency and productivity.
  • Gather input from the sales team, prioritize, and communicate improvements and implementation.
  • Own system onboarding and training for new employees as well as the adoption of best practices for all sales operations processes for existing employees.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of corporate data
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement strategic projects and transformational initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain dashboards and reporting on various platforms 
  • Provide insight and actionable analysis and recommendations
  • Review team processes and own work methods with a view to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of allocated tasks
  • Lead projects and initiatives focused on growth and improving productivity
  • Ensure best practices are being followed by users in Salesforce (SFDC). 
  • Provide analysis and reporting support for sales, orders, forecasts, and pipelines to support the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Understand foundational skills in Sales Order Processing
  • Lead projects and initiatives focused on growth and improving productivity throughout the sales organization.

 

Technical and Personal Skills

Essential

  • Maintain strong working relationships with sales management, business operations, marketing operations, and other cross-functional teams to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong project management skillset; process-driven mindset and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  • Shown ability and aptitude to work within a global, cross-functional team environment at all levels within the organization to lead, influence, and continuously improve people and processes
  • Excellent business sense, strategic planning, analytical, communication, project management, and change management skills
  • Effective communication with the ability to assemble and clearly articulate key strategies, plans, and reports aligned to drive business impact, strong listening and facilitation skills
  • Lead projects with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to make decisions on key sales operations strategy improvements.

  • Previous experience leading a high-performance team
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning or other CRM systems
  • Previous experience in a fast-moving, sales-orientated company
  • Results-driven behaviors with a consistent focus on getting things done routinely to plan
  • Knowledge of Technology, SaaS Based, Revenue Recognition a plus.
