Business Operations Specialist (Target) – Minneapolis, MN

The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for enabling the customer team they support with technical and administrative services. This includes but is not limited to the creation, maintenance and delivery of materials and services to support the sales team and enable them to deliver their commitments, responsibilities and objectives. Specifically A.M.P.S (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving) in accordance with each Mars brand strategy, promotional and seasonal programs and all other customer related activities needed in order to achieve the annual financial plan.

Reporting to the Target Sales Director- this role is part of the Target Sales Team organization.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years’ operations, administrative or analytical experience preferably in Sales, Category Management, and/or Finance
• Forecasting, Business Analytics & Customer-facing experience
• Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and/or experience with major retailers preferred
• Ability to travel 10% - 15% of the time as needed
• Successful completion of a drug & background screen

What would be your key responsibilities?

With a full understanding of the customer(s) business needs, processes, and systems, this role enables the customer team in all activity by performing the following functions:

• Completes all Everyday Sales plan and Seasonal submission paperwork accurately within the Kroger systems- DemandTec,1 world Sync, Market6
• Enters all Mars items for upcoming promotions and seasonal events as well as new items being offered to Kroger from Mars
• Verify information for each item while entering pricing, enter nutritional information on items
• Ensuring that all items submitted have been processed through all channels to ensure product is ready to be ordered
• Processes all promotional Tradepoint contracts, IMFs and AIFs
• Provide Deduction resolution services using Mars systems – currently Siebel to clear deduction and Demantra for planning information
• Track and write repay letters to Customers and follow up on same by working within the Kroger’s PRG audit system
• Resolve Customer post audit issues by adhering to Mars internal deduction clearing policy and financial best practices (days to clear, acceptable balances, etc.)
• Run financial budget reports for sales team, maintain all financial management records according to Mars policy
• Contribute and support as required with sales team on tradeshows and other sales and customer specific projects, presentations, etc.
