We believe we can make a positive impact for patients. Reporting to the Senior Patient Support Programs (PSP) Strategy Lead, you will be a key member in building a “best in class” Oncology capability at AstraZeneca.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the AstraZeneca Oncology PSP to ensure seamless delivery to patients and key partners while differentiating AstraZeneca as an innovative leader in Oncology
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, market access, real world evidence and sales teams to maximize insights and adjust to the dynamics of the market to provide a seamless patient first approach
  • Identify, manage and maximize third party vendor relationships to drive innovation and efficiency in the delivery of our programs to positively impact the patient journey
  • Provide aggregated and new insights by analyzing the data sets from the PSP to help the brand teams refine and build strategies to deliver our medicines to patients in need
  • Participate in the build and design of an overarching Patient Program vision and strategy (across therapeutic areas) and how they will enable success for the business and for patients
  • Build external relationships with customers or organizations that may play a critical role in the disease area. You work closely with key external leaders in the field to implement projects to optimize patient management and drive the oncology portfolio forward
  • Partner with Senior Strategy Lead, PSP, to execute all Budgeting, Procurement and Financial Reconciliations to ensure adherence to contracts in place with third party vendors
  • Build, evaluate and drive success of PSP vendor metrics (eg. Time from enrol to time to receive drug, conversion, etc.)
  • Support the development and delivery of a governance model for the overarching PSP process and issue management process across all portfolios

Qualifications include:

  • Post secondary education, preferred in health sciences.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of PSP or pharmaceutical experience. Launch and operationalizing PSPs at a vendor level a strong asset
  • Knowledge of the Canadian payer landscape
  • Ability to lead without authority and an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for putting patients first
  • Strong aptitude to work on complex problems in ambiguous and dynamic environments
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and accountable to deliver results at a very high standard
  • Strong project, time and financial management, analytical skills, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and strong advocate for change, ability to influence internally and externally
  • Works well in a highly collaborative matrixed environment and cross-functional approach
