Responsibilities

Microsoft Services’ newly-established Public Sector Program Management Office (PMO) provides centralized expertise and management, focusing on optimization and growth of our Microsoft prime contract vehicle portfolio.

The PMO provides the following wide range of value-added services:
• Contract Management and Administration
• Contract Vehicle Strategy, Support and Guidance
• Task Order Ingest, Routing, Management & Reporting
• Standardized Tools, Templates, Processes and Practices
• Marketing and Outreach Activities
• Strategic Partnership Development

As a PMO Business Manager, you will have the opportunity to apply strategic thinking and innovative ideas to real-world business issues. You will deliver key business insight, planning, and analysis needed by senior leadership to develop strategy, deliver internal and external communications, and maintain operational rigor for this fast-growing professional services business. As part of a high performing team, you will deliver significant impact across the business with high visibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES
The PMO Business Manager will be responsible for the following areas of responsibility:
• Manage all operational aspects of the PMO, including tools, processes, invoicing and customer payments
• Centralized organization and primary resource for vehicle management
• Strategic planning
• Program Manager for prime contract vehicles
• Manage the contract vehicle portfolio, including:
o Oversee all aspects of contract vehicle management and performance, including operations, marketing, contracts, task orders and invoicing
o Coordination of all incoming and outgoing task orders
• Develop and implement new contract vehicles
• Oversee all aspects of new contract vehicle acquisition, from business case development to proposal submission
• Support sales, capture, marketing and contract negotiation activities, including:
o Customer acquisition strategy development
o Communicate the PMO’s mission, service offerings and value proposition to staff and customers, including how the PMO can support customers’ goals and deliver results
o Build and strengthen government and industry relationships
• Track progress against strategic plan execution. Aggregate data and create presentations for internal weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
• Maintain relationships with peers inside and outside of the team to ensure strong cross-group collaboration and connection within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Applicants must be US citizens and hold (or be able to obtain) a DoD security clearance
• 10+ years industry or related services experience
• Strong self-motivation and demonstrated project and process management
• Problem-solving ability, especially in gathering data to drive decision making under stringent timelines
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage ambiguity
• Strong oral and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• MBA or equivalent proven business experience
