In this role, you have the opportunity to

Shape and drive the execution of the complete Innovation Program of Oral Healthcare! You will be responsible for the innovation program that supports our ongoing transformation to become a full solution provider to empower consumers to take control of their Oral Health.

You are responsible for

  • Leading the global R&D organization pertaining to the Business, working closely with hub or site management.

  • The end-to-end product innovation and development of products and solutions.

  • From initial idea, through pre-development, product development, industrialization up to post-market surveillance. Ensuring a pipeline of breakthrough and meaningful (digitally enabled) innovations that moves the needle for consumers, health care providers and insurers.

  • Driving the digital transformation in the multi-functional innovation management team and supporting the transformation program across businesses.

  • Building digital software capabilities, install agile processes for solution development.

  • Being a cultural change agent by role modeling behaviors in agility, quality and change management.

  • Effectively using Personal Health Digital Solutions Infrastructure (Bangalore), CoEs (System Engineering, SW Engineering, Chief Architect Office), PInS, and ensure adequate representation of the Business R&D in these CoEs.

  • Driving (HW/SW) modularization to further re-use and standardization.

  • Ensuring alignment with other key partners in the value chain including general management of businesses as well as specific functions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimally a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a Masters

  • 15+ years’ experience leading R&D programs with experience of globally used products

  • Consistent track record in an Idea to Market capacity, this includes New Product Introduction knowledge (both within SW and HW)

  • Expert knowledge of product development of full-stack digital offerings across consumer paradigms

  • Expertise in leading engineering efficiency & velocity, including efficiency assessments, mentoring, and process implementation to ensure optimized output across internal and external resources

  • Experience in modernized software such as: SaaS, PaaS, etc.

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementation, across multiple sites

  • Integration with leading IoT platforms and other partners (cloud to cloud)

  • Experience in hardware development, device connectivity or IoT

  • Understanding of the requirements for releasing regulated products, preferably Class 2 medical products

  • Demonstrated ability to influence in areas outside of direct control (product roadmap, finance, marketing, operations)

  • Comfortable in a global matrix organization, including indirect functional engagement with product development processes and quality systems
