As Manager of our Electrification Business Research Center in Shenzhen you will build up a new team driving innovation in the area of Power Electronics. You will contribute to the success of the next generation power electronics products for our Business and collaborate with global and local R&D. You will be responsible for the local staff, laboratories and infrastructure. You will ensure the operation of the research center and be responsible for successful delivery of project results.

• Define the strategic research direction and portfolio in the area of power electronics for the local research center in collaboration with the global research manager and with Business Line R&D (global and local).
• Manage and coordinate team resources (human, financial, facility). Develop and strengthen team competence aligning to the strategic research directions.
• Evaluate and advice on new potential technology areas of growth for the local center.
• Evaluate local market requirements and innovation trends.
• Establish collaborations with local universities and startups.
• Perform technology development in the field of Power Electronics for applications such as e.g. eV Charging, UPS, Solar.
• Oversee local financial planning and budgeting.
• Monitor the execution of all R&D projects running by the team, ensure on-time completion & high-quality results.

• PhD Degree, major in Power Electronics, or other related areas.
• More than 3 years of Industrial experience as R&D Project Manager in Power Electronics and ideally Line Management experience.
• Strong technical & scientific expertise and even in R&D Context.
• Strong in Network to the academic community.
• Excellent innovation capability.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Able to inspire and motivate team members.
• Fluent in written and oral English.
