Job Description

An excellent permanent opportunity has arisen at Thermo Fisher Scientific for a Business Support Specialist. The successful candidate will be based at Singapore and responsible for ensuring smooth operation of business through working with local and global teams

Duties Include:

  • Be a Salesforce.com (SFDC) superuser and administrator, i.e. in charge of system upgrading, data maintenance, developing SFDC standard policies and processes, SFDC issues’ case management and trouble- shooting, generating reports, providing end user training,
  • Participate in high priority projects including rollout of sales optimization tools, i.e. SFDC deployment
  • Support the effective use of corporate CRM (i.e. SFDC) productivity and compliance
  • Support commercial team to manage sales forecast activities and processes
  • Partner closely with SEATW sales leadership to drive revenue analytical initiatives
  • Analyse KPI and metrics to identify trends and data-driven insights
  • Work with global sales operations team to create and implement regionally-sound business and system processes
  • Assist commercial team with forecast and other reports and dashboard requests to support strategic and tactical objectives
  • Liaise and work with global business unit teams on business projects to ensure smooth project management
  • Provide marketing support i.e. market intelligence collection, collateral and gimmicks management, coordinate marketing events/seminars/training, etc.
  • Provide operational support on quality case management, supply and other commercial agreements, RFP/tender submissions, CDA requests and ad hoc requests to achieve operational excellence
  • Act as point of contact for customers on change notification related enquiries, technical related documentation requests
  • Provide administrative and ad hoc support to the commercial team, i.e. demo unit and product sample management, coordination of business/department meetings and events, meeting minutes taking, maintenance and sharing of BPD documents at SharePoint, etc.


Experience required

  • 4-5 years experienced in similar role
  • Extensive experience in a data analytics/sales operations role
  • Highly proficient Oracle (or similar) experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience
  • SQL experience desired
  • Ability to prioritise a high volume of workload and handle details accurately and in a timely manner under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good understanding of sales activities and processes
  • Good proficiency in English and Mandarin in both speaking and writing is a must
