BioPharmaceuticals R&D COO is a global function formed to enable our organisation to deliver our science and strategic priorities.

JOB OVERVIEW

Business Support Specialist will provide a variety of business support in different projects to all R&D departments in Europe and NAM. Will act globally in fast-changing environment, will use modern solutions and digital tools and an excellent English on a daily basis.

Tasks may include support in different projects, processes and system, with usage of modern digital tools.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Supports R&D departments in Europe and in NAM
  • Raises new purchase requisitions and amend existing purchase orders on behalf of R&D study leaders
  • Checks status of PR and provide regular updates to customers to ensure there are no delays in purchase order being generated. Investigate PO issues on customer behalf
  • Provides support and develop expertise in diverse IT systems: Concur, Ariba, Datavision, OneGRC, CyberGrants, Coupa, AdminDirect Interface and other
  • Proactively promotes modern digital tools like Modern SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Forms to help maintain “Digital R&D” and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Supports different projects requested by R&D Stakeholders (for example: Capital Management, iBuy process, SharePoint etc.) and ensures improvement projects adhere to regulatory requirements
  • Independently and pro-actively resolves issues and challenges related to supported projects and actively searches for continuous improvement in all areas to simplify ways of working
  • Meets all SLAs and KPIs established for R&D Central Business Support Team
  • Assures all activities are compliant with AZ rules, values and behaviors

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

  • Fluency in English (min B2)
  • Prior business support or customer service type of experience
  • Ability to follow complex, global processes
  • Experience working in a fast-paced global environment balancing competing priorities
  • Experience of working across functions and geographies
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidentially with local and global leaders
  • Agility, flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business demands
  • Good listening and learning skills
  • Strong teamworking

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with Ariba/Coupa systems
