BUSINESS TRAVEL ASSISTANT MANAGER

This position will form a part of Sales Team based in Bermuda and will report to the Director of Luxury Sales as well as Director of Sales & Director of Marketing who is based in Bermuda.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Luxury Sales and Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
- Ability to aggressively pursue and evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
- Ability to solicit and service Travel Agent, Negotiated, Worldwide Corporate and Transient accounts.
- Administratively self-sufficient and may require supporting fellow Transient Sales Colleagues and conducting own site visits
- Utilize Opera sales system and other tools in compliance with Accor brand standards
- Develop key and developmental accounts for hotels that will generate long term business partnerships
- Ability to sell all hotel products and services
- The ability to negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs
- Learn the strengths and weaknesses of our top competitors so as to be able to sell against them
- Attend all required meetings. Participate in on going brainstorming sessions
- Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting internal departments
- Adhere to all Accor sales standards
- Participate in Accor & Local territory sales events and trade shows, involves preparation of events, invitation of clients and facilitating of events
- Maintain positive relations with all Guests, Vendors, Colleagues and Global Sales Offices while portraying a professional image at all times
- Overnight travel which may include weekends to conduct ongoing sales calls to clients in your market
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by direct reports and/or Director of Sales
Qualifications:
- A Degree in Business Management, Sales and/or equivalent experience is preferred
- Must be a results-oriented, highly motivated individual, with a positive attitude
- At least three years hotel sales management experience, is preferred especially with a luxury Hotel focus
- Proven ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast paced environment
- Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a multi cultural, diverse environment
- Proven ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to act independently and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as a team while at the same time negotiate and effectively communicate within a remote office environment
- Ability to make effective presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Computer literacy including, but not limited to, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point are essential. Property Manager, especially Opera, experience preferred
- Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours
