Eaton’s Fluid and Electrical Division is currently seeking a Business Unit Manager for Conveyance to join our FED team. This position must be based at one of our Aerospace facilities. Position Overview: This role is critical leadership position that is responsible for leading the global Conveyance business day-to-day and strategic activities including, but not limited to driving organic and inorganic growth, product planning and development, product marketing, and program execution. Responsible for leading the business unit including the product life cycle management process, strategic business plan development and program execution for 9 global product lines. Reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President & General Manager of the Fluid & Electrical Distribution Division this role is accountable for driving growth, delivering financial results, owning the P&L and developing and driving the product line strategies. Direct the planning, development, and execution of the strategic business plan to achieve global growth objectives. Demonstrate full ownership of the product life cycle, including aftermarket, service and end of product life. Define the growth and marketing strategy by fully understanding the global markets and market requirements and translating these into service and product solutions; Partner with the Sales and Engineering organizations to capture VOC and to ensure that product and customer strategies are driven across multiple segments. Manage the portfolio for the product line, which includes evaluating each opportunity based on its strategic significance and benefit for Eaton and recommending which products will be developed Collaborates with business leaders to determine where to invest in products, what programs to pursue, manage the health of the business, and when to sunset products. Ensures effective product development plans that support strategic initiatives for profitability. Develop key leaders and build organizational capability for Eaton through assessment, selection and succession planning within the product line. Direct and mentor staff in the performance of their respective roles and consistent with Eaton Leadership Model. Responsible for the growth portfolio including targeted program and/or customer wins in a product group by partnering with other FED product lines, Sales and Operations. Identify specific opportunities to drive profitability improvements through pricing, portfolio management and harvest strategies. Partner with Pricing to define the value proposition and pricing strategy for the product line. Ensure successful commercialization of new programs, including ProLaunch execution, customer interface and organizational alignment within Aerospace Group. Lead the development of the manufacturing strategy for the 9 global product lines to address broad industry trends while continuing to position the business for success. Qualifications Qualifications - Internal Basic Requirements: Minimum 5 years of senior management experience combining extensive global operations, engineering and/or sales/marketing experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution required Must be able to travel domestically and internationally at least 50% of the time This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
