Business Unit General Manager - Electrical Systems and Solutions (ESS), Critical Systems Division Location: EMEA, multiple locations The position is responsible for the overall leadership of the Electrical Systems and Solutions (ESS) business unit within the Eaton Critical Systems Division. This is a role with direct P&L responsibility for the EMEA ESS business. Vertically integrated roles within the business unit include strategy, product management, product design and development responsibilities, project offering and execution as well as program management. The role also includes functional leadership responsibility for the extended ESS team made up of representatives and teams from the matrix organization including e.g. sales, operations, quality, marketing, finance and HR. The ESS business is responsible for IEC assemblies in EMEA and alignment of product development responsibilities across the globe. Job Responsibilities: Lead the business activities for the EMEA Electrical Systems and Solutions business with the scope of IEC assemblies focused mainly on LV/MV systems. Work closely with Operations, Divisional staff, and Regional Sales Organizations to deliver profitable growth. Drive world-class operations and supply chain for the business together with the division operations organization. Develop, drive and execute the strategic plan for all product lines in this scope, including product development roadmap. End to end P&L responsibility, ensure execution and financial performance to deliver the agreed Profit Plan. Lead market development opportunities and growth, including development of customer relationships, end user pull strategies, robust New Product Development (NPD) programs, aftermarket plans, localization, and strategic partnerships. Evaluate and recommend divestitures, acquisitions and/or partnership/JV assignments and activities. Build a high-performance culture and organizational capability aligned with Eaton Leadership Model. Implement strategies and methods to analyze competitor’s intentions, then develop differentiating advantages, including effective NPD strategies, to position the business with competitive advantage. Create product marketing content, configuration, and support to the segment marketing approach. Responsible for commercial contractual arrangements, price bands, with review and approvals in place as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical fields from an accredited institution preferred Solid operations experience in any industry is strongly preferred combined with commercial experience in Power Management value chain Experience with medium voltage (MV) is ideal however open to other areas of power management value chain At least 5-year experience within large multinational organization, experience with working in a matrix environment Proven turn around experience Several years of experience as leading leaders Proven cross-functional interpersonal and collaboration skills Ability to work with both strategic and tactical issues simultaneously Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and problem solve in an operating environment Ability to communicate, present and negotiate at all levels in and outside the organization; professional presence. Fluency in English required.
