The House of Astor in Venice is currently looking to add a new host in the Butler team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a deep passion for service, uncompromising standards, the ability to anticipate needs and impeccable interpersonal skills.
The fulltime position has an ideal starting date in March an initial fixed-term contract.
It will report to the Senior Butler and it will be part of an enthusiastic and passionate group of committed international professionals.

What you will be doing
As the original house of luxury, The St. Regis Venice continues to redefine modern luxury through service. The Butler is the ultimate luxury ambassador, an icon to our heritage and the heart and soul of new luxury. It is high-touch, personalized, creative and original.
Working at the intersection of the front office, the guest relation and the concierge team and coordinating with all the other departments, from events to culinary, the Butler provides bespoke experiences and services to fulfill all guest needs during pre-arrival, check-in, throughout the stay and upon departure.
Close to the role of a Personal Assistant, the Butler is key to building rapport with guests, proactively anticipate guest needs and acting upon them where possible. While the St. Regis brand is steeped in history with roots that can be traced back to the early 1900s, every team member is part of a trailblazing future to redefine modern luxury through service.
Main activities
• Meet and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a seamless experience from the moment of the reservation till the first steps into The St. Regis Venice;
• Make guests’ stay memorable i.e. support the celebration of special events, anticipate needs of different nature, prepare amenities based on guests’ profile preferences and necessities;
• Ensure the hotel and the rooms are up to the guests’ expectations, working in partnership with housekeeping and performing throughout room escorting;
• Collaborate with the F&B team by supporting the room service operations, communicating guests’ preferences and requests;
• Partner with the front office and the concierge team to create unforgettable memories during the arrival, stay and departure of the guests’;
• Create a safe work place, follow company policies and procedures, uphold quality standards, and ensure your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.
What we are looking for
• 1-2 years of experience in rooms within luxury hotels
• Fluent English and any other language would be an advantage
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, willing to go the extra-mile and a can-do attitude
• Creativity, curiosity, ethic and professionalism
