Job Description
THE POSITION The incumbent in this role is response for overall operations activities including Dongguan plant business and Global Non-Plant operations including P&L and production, engineering, SCM, Quality and Sourcing (For Buy & Sell business). Key responsibility is for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. Develop operation strategies (PP /Operations middle/long term strategy) to align with business growth plan and CI customers' satisfaction. This role will lead the plant/Non plant organization in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, inventory management and employee safety goals. Provides leadership to all functions in the plant/suppliers to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create high performance and continuous improvement focused culture. Key responsibilities include: Dongguan Plant/ Global Non-Plant operation activities to delivery/achieve business existing goals Set up and management operations related performances in term of KPI, P&L and Global SCM Take leader and ownership for DG plant and Globally Non-Plant operations strategy, deployment, execution and Continue improvement Drives product margins, customer satisfaction, cost of quality, inventory, productivity, organizational development and other operations metrics Develop, implement and review suitable short and long range plans/strategies to achieve assigned global objectives such as the profit plan, strategic plan, human resource organizational capability plan and forecasts based on customer expectations, and committing to achieving established targets Coordinate and direct through managers, all functions of operations, including but not limited to suppliers' manufacturing, Eaton asset, inventory control, product projects and studies, cost control, manpower utilization, work standards and administration Responsible for contributing to the development of all operation policies, consistent with the direction of the overall Eaton organization Review, maintain, control, implement corrective action and regularly report on the financial progress within the assigned group to maintain profit plan expectations and insure incremental / decremental performance Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets. Control inventory. Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company. Be the main liaison of the commercial team in terms of Global outsource portfolio management and coordinate with outsourcing partners to lead commercial operation associated with outsourced products. Coordinate and support alliance management, including vendor selection, contract review and execution to ensure sustainable growth. Implementation and adherence (DG organization) to the Eaton Business System, Eaton Quality System, Eaton Lean Six Sigma, Balanced Score Card and Business Operating System Working with division Advanced Mechanical Engineer team to drive plant automation process and improve the efficiency Foster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing the culture of High performance, Continuous Improvement, and Recognition. Ensure that Eaton policies, practices and initiatives are implemented and followed Ensure compliance with all government, financial, environmental and labor regulations Represent Eaton in local organizations and community service activities Develop plant staff level personnel and address employees’ issues Develop effective communications and spirit of teamwork between the plant operation and sales & marketing, customers, other division plants and the division staff. Qualifications Bachelor's and Master's degrees More than 15 years of operations management including Plant, Subcontract & Buy&Sell management, SCM and Supplier quality management Electronic /Semiconductor industrial related Project/conflict management, communication, influencing and leading.
