She/he will be the supervise the purchase activity of MTA China plant. S/he will be the MTA Head Quarter focal/local referent to support scouting/sourcing of the direct materials for production and equipment involving Far-East localization and suppliers.

The candidate will be responsible for:

Supervise strategic purchasing activities of MTA China Plant of direct material for production, equipment (according to purchase budget) and samples (prototypes);

Support Head quarter in Far East scouting activity for new supplier qualification for global MTA needs;

Be the focal point of MTA HQ in sourcing activities for global/local MTA projects involving Far East suppliers and the continuous improvement of the quality / price ratio;.

Make visits to current and future MTA Far East suppliers to evaluate and offer specific feedback. Manage MTA China Supplier panel taking care of:

• request and archive supplier certifications, docs, and agreements to MTA standard, taking care of renewals;
• update supplier master data and price lists in the company information system in order to allow the Planning department to correctly issue orders and delivery plans;
• manage the periodic monitor and yearly evaluation of MTA China Supplier panel.

Manage the suppliers change according to internal MTA methodologies and procedures.

Support Logistic Dept. and r Quality Dept. in escalation process to face major timing/quality supplies non conformities.

Manage the commercial aspects related to Claims to suppliers and loan of equipment.

Manage performance KPI of the Purchase dept.;

The necessary requirements are:

Experience in SAP, MM module; Fluent English, Italian is a plus;

Experience of 3/5 years in multinational companies of the automotive sector;

Mandatory basic knowledge of SGQ (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949), SGA (ISO 14001:2015) e SGS (OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001) related to purchase process;

The preferred skills are: Previous experience as (3-4 years) as a strategic buyer/category manager or in quality/engineering area within manufacturing industry;

Preferably experience in automotive industry Degree in engineering or economical study;

Excellent negotiation skills; Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships and group work; Lover of standards and continuous improvement; Coaching and leadership skills; Availability to travel.
