This exciting role will be part of the Smart Infrastructure UK Project Procurement team, that will support both our Regional Solutions and Services and our Energy Performance Services businesses.The position is a key part of our procurement team, where you will work within fire, security, smart buildings, and green energy projects! Prepare and conclude sourcing contracts based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Focus on business-specific Procurement. Deliver the Procurement strategy of assigned activities (Project Classification D or as applicable to Business unit) to ensure cost effective purchasing to meet cost targets and expediting to meet programme. Prepare, action and issue Request for Quotations (enquiries); conduct negotiation with suppliers, develop and issue contracts and purchase orders, in accordance with procurement procedures, to meet objectives. Support the Procurement function in ensuring that the business has a professional Logistical & Procurement Service, obtaining ‘Best Value for Money’ deals. Ensure compliance with all Corporate Procurement Policies and that Procurement initiatives are fully complied with to meet the business requirements. What skills and experience will you bring to the role? We are looking for a background in buying or experience in electrical and mechanical installation commissioning environment – if you are an engineer, looking for the next step this could be it! You will be comfortable in working across multiple business functions and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment. A passion for life-long learning and continued growth is key!
