SUMMARY

The Buyer is responsible for the Purchasing and Supply activity for MFE Plant.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Implement the purchasing policy and the purchasing system for the plant.
• Assist the manager in finishing the cycle from requesting for quotation, to rating vendors, obtaining approval, till releasing order or signing contract.
• Assist the manager in maintaining AVL, approved vendor list upon full compliance with all MFE related policies and procedures and Safety Standards.
• Run smoothly the "purchase request/purchase order/reception of goods'' system and its links with the Finance & Accounting Department.
• Purchase consumables for all Departments.
• Assist the manager in optimizing the purchasing strategy in order to keep the minimum stocks so as to guaranty the smooth operation of the plant and minimizes costs.
• Responsible for sourcing local suppliers.
• Support on variable cost and fixed cost control.
• Other duties assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 3 to 5 years of general sourcing and/or procurement experience
• Toy & fabric industry is a plus
• Familiar with Pro-e/Auto CAD

EDUCATION & SKILLS

• Min 2 years Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent, 4 years degree (Bachelor’s degree) preferred
• Major in Industrial Engineering Bachelor
• Good English skills in reading & writing is necessary
• Good communication skills; EQ is key to be successful in this position.
