GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, product development and order execution. S/he needs to nurture vendors to meet our cost, quality and deliver requirements and manager vendor relationship, collaborate with associates towards successful problem solution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review product specifications and artworks from Creative and give directions to vendors for sampling.
• Negotiate production plan and ship schedule with vendors.
• Monitor costing completion and PO release schedule from BU’s.
• Utilize Quickbase to monitor order status to ensure on time production and delivery.
• Monitor and manage output and vendor performance by using QuickBase metrics.
• Coordinate with Graphics Team on file release and PS Approval
• Co-ordinate between QA team and vendors to ensure vendors’ compliance with our required product safety and factory COC standards.
• Conduct mid-production check at factories for important programs.
• Enhance product technology and vendor knowledge by visiting factories and trade fairs and through other channels regularly.
• Nurture and manage vendor relationship for assigned product categories.
• To complete other duties as assigned by the company.

Qualifications & Experiences:

• 5+ years purchasing experience for print, packaging, or toy products or equivalent experience, strong supply base and industry connections.

• Experience working in a multi-national company or manufacturing environment.

• University degree in business acumen preferred.

• Good communication skills in English.
  

• Good communication skills with internal customers and vendors.

• Good team player.

• Can work independently, systematic and attentive to details.
