We welcome you to join Philips Ultrasound Business as a Buyer Planner in our Bothell, Washington location.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

As a Buyer / Planner you will be responsible for aligning the schedule and cost support to ensure consistency and monitoring to our corporate goals.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. Candidates need to live within commuting distance to the Bothell location.

You are responsible for

Providing Ultrasound Business –assurance of material supply by using the tools in SAP to issue / manage and analyze purchase orders, assure on time delivery, and appropriate vendors responses as well as analysis/ direct support for the procurement of all parts, assemblies, supplies, and products in support of the business production and revenue plans.

  • Align with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Nocturne to support communication with suppliers

  • Provide further analysis of forecast (supporting discussion with suppliers –mentoring)

  • Manage releases of PO's (follow-up with buyers on vendor commitments order acknowledgments etc. to ensure timely resolution to AOS issues

  • Experience buying for New Product Introduction (NPI) for mass production and service support

  • Manage exceptions per system (Linedown report /MRB /aging /inventory etc.) overall consolidation trending analysis to support key areas of improvement

  • Purchased items change management mentoring with provide input to cut over planning for changes

  • Escalation to SC resources needed Engineering/SPL/CMs/etc.. (serious/revenue generating issues)

  • Planning MRP and supplier forecast web-portal.

  • Follow-up with vendors on purchase order commitments/acknowledgments and ensure timely resolution to material shortage issues.

  • Manage your commodity’s performance to meet supply chain KPIs (material receiving issues, aging POs, inventory mgmt., nonconforming material mgmt., material shortage mgmt.)

  • Manage buyer change management inputs to supplier/part/assembly/product cut over project plans.

  • Attend meetings and support cross functional teams to ensure commodity/product strategies and schedules are maintained (cost savings, supply base consolidation, production targets, NPI targets, supplier quality, customer service, life-cycle mgmt.,

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Supply Chain) and comparable work experience is required

  • 3+ year as Buyer Planner on the job a must

  • 2+ years’ experience in SAP and thorough knowledge of purchasing and business processes

  • Procurement experience

  • Ability to achieve results

  • Ability to think analytical and work independently

  • Communication and interpersonal skills
