Role Headline The Buying Professional will be responsible for low to medium value PVO (ZAR1000>ZAR250 000) i.e. conduct negotiations, generate & implement and document savings as prescribed by Siemens Guidelines. Prepares and concludes sourcing contracts based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Responsibilities of the Role Engage and conclude all low to medium PVO (Supplier Sourcing, RFQ, qualification, evaluation, selection, and conclusion for purchase) Assist the Head of Commodity Management and Project Procurement Managers in implementing Commodity Strategies for Material Procurement to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supplies Serve as quality gate for correct purchasing at Siemens including usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems) Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes to obtain the highest feasible savings Generate, document and implement savings; plan, monitor and report on meaningful key performance metrics, as to chip into the success of the business and make results transparent. Ensure a close collaboration with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure early involvement and regular feedback Administer documentation as requested from time to time, report on CNI and activities for the prescribed period Qualifications and Experience · Relevant Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Supply Chain Management · Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management · Basic knowledge in handling sub commodities Attributes and Skills · Strong Negotiation Skills · Agility, change orientation, customer focus and good communication skills · Knowledge of SAP Our culture: Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the will to challenge convention.
