Job Title / Role: Buying Profesional Organization: Large Drive Applications (LDA) Location: Midrand, South Africa The Business Siemens Large Drive Applications (LDA) is a leading provider of advanced technology solutions, driving productivity and performance in Africa’s mining and cement industry. We are looking for a motivated professional employee with a passion for control and instrumentation engineering to join our team to support us in addressing the challenges faced in the industry. Our area of business includes design, manufacture, implementation and support of electrification, automation, and digitalization projects. The successful candidate will join our system engineering team, you be involved in control and instrumentation systems using Siemens technology for a wide range of exciting applications such as, · Mine Winders · Conveyor Belt Systems · Stacker Reclaimer · Mills · Integrated engineering of process plants Mission/Function of the role: Prepares and concludes sourcing contracts based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Focus on business-specific Procurement. What are the responsibilities of the role? * Implements Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials. * Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems). * Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings. * Generates, documents and implements savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent. * Executes Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification). * Ensures a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitions) to ensure customer care and early involvement. * Provides supplier information to the project and conducts project-specific supplier evaluations (project evaluations). Qualifications and Experience Completed Relevant Supply Chain Qualification 2- 3 years relevant experience in the various supply chain fields 2 - 3 years SAP Experience Advanced Excel Skills Competencies: Strong Analytical Skills Ability to work within a team and autonomously Deadline driven High Degree of Stress Management Ability to Prioritise and Multitask Negotiation skills Reporting Manager The Role reports to the POC Finance Manager Our culture: Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the will to challenge convention.
