We are currently recruiting a CAD Systems Specialist to join our China team based in Zibo. This global team provides customer and technical support through analysis and problem solving to facilitate installation, implementation, maintenance, education, and documentation of a variety of software technologies. This specialist will initially focus on support of Smart 3D, however it is expected the specialist will support other CAD applications and develop knowledge of additional CAD applications, resulting in broader growth opportunities. We are currently recruiting a CAD Systems Specialist to join our China team based in Zibo. This global team provides customer and technical support through analysis and problem solving to facilitate installation, implementation, maintenance, education, and documentation of a variety of software technologies. This specialist will initially focus on support of Smart 3D, however it is expected the specialist will support other CAD applications and develop knowledge of additional CAD applications, resulting in broader growth opportunities. Will directly interact with end users.
As a CAD Systems Specialist, you will:
- Be the “front line” client support for a variety of engineering design engineering CAD applications, with an initial focus on S3D.
- Maintain S3D computing environments through installation and administration of S3D applications, host servers and databases.
- Work with other SmartPlant Specialists and Engineering teams to provide additional testing, training, troubleshooting and documentation in respect of S3D.
- Work with other SmartPlant Specialists and Engineering teams to investigate, test, and deploy new applications and technologies to benefit the design engineering community.
- Document work processes for all levels of S3D use and support (end users and other CAD systems specialists).
- Communications, co-ordination, documentation, minor project management and advanced trouble-shooting.
As a CAD Systems Specialist, you will have:
- An Engineering Degree (or equivalent: specialized training, certification, or appropriate work experience).
- Experience supporting S3D for 5+ years.
- Experience with a SmartPlant Enterprise integrated tool environment.
- Experience using or supporting one or more of the following tools: SmartPlant PID, SmartPlant Foundation, Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a Citrix environment.
- An ability to independently assess and prioritize competing urgent issues, whilst identifying areas for improvement in design processes and assist in creating and implementing said solutions.
- General understanding of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and processes.
- Ability to effectively work independently and jointly across global, regional cross-organizational team environments and participate in virtual projects, work requests or activities, particularly with design or engineering functions in the process industry for the enhancement of applications.
- A desire for exposure to new technology opportunities.
- Good troubleshooting and incident management respective to multiple applications.
- Client Support experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a global team environment.
- Strong problem solving & customer service skills.
- Ability to work with outside service/support providers and other third-party vendors
- A solid understanding of Windows OS.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases preferred, but not required.
- Programming experience, preferably with Microsoft C#.net.
