Position Purpose & Summary
The BRM is responsible for defining the demand for IT services in line with their Process, Technology and Data (PDT) strategies. This position will partner within Global IT to effectively deliver IT services and solutions for CASC in China, Korea and Japan. In addition, this position will also be the primary Go-to-Market face of Global IT for CASC in China, Korea and Japan and manage business stakeholders to ensure adequate identification of the demand of IT services in order to execute the Enterprise and business unit strategies. This role will also cover Global IT’s stakeholder management for the CASC SAP program and will work closely with and support the Business lead for this project.

The position will report to the CASC APAC BRM Manager.

The BRM will be responsible to support the delivery of consistent end-to-end IT services across the region through the regional delivery teams and 3rd party service providers. Overall this position ensures client satisfaction for China , Korea and Japan. The role responsibilities includes: strategy planning and portfolio management, business partnering, relationship & elements of service management.

Principal Accountabilities
1.70% Business Partnering, relationship and service management
  • Serves as a thought leader within the IT organization representing the Global IT job family to key stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains a sustainable business relationship with Business Leaders as well as other corporate executives where appropriate.
  • Acts as a thought advisor to Enterprise, Group, and Business Leadership members to pro-actively identify opportunities for continuous improvements across the Functions. Drives efficiencies with the regional delivery organizations.
  • Partners with IT Leadership, using deep knowledge of IT and broad knowledge of functions, to develop and maintain a highly diversified portfolio of services and solutions. Ensure integration across process, data, and technology for all solutions.
  • Expands and monitors integration across processes, technology and data for all solutions defined for the portfolio of services and solutions in the Functions.
  • Acts as a strategic counselor and advisor within the CASC APAC and for CASC China, Korea and Japan to ensure successful introduction of new solutions, technologies, and applications to enable functional processes. Aligns all solutions with EA framework. Work with CASC China BIM to prepare businesses for ERP readiness and lead value capture of businesses operating on the target systems.

2.30% Strategy Planning and Portfolio Management
  • Leads and provides broad guidance to the medium-long term IT strategy for the Enterprise/Group and ensures overall alignment with the CASC strategies.
  • Acts as a strategic advisor for business partnering activities for the CASC China, Korea and Japan businesses in communicating the vision and strategic direction for the delivery and investment of IT services and solutions.
  • Leads the definition of effective governance mechanisms for a portfolio of services and solutions.
  • Applies deep understanding of business partnering practices and procedures in leading the definition and execution of effective IT demand. Develops a deep understanding of BUs processes, pain points, need, etc.
  • Defines business requirements for all new initiatives. Discovers project opportunities and their overall concept, scope, sponsorship and value opportunity. Partners with IT internal/external suppliers to search for adequate solution.
  • Leads and manages IT Project Portfolio. Monitor execution of projects by internal/external vendors. Advises and provides consultation to strategic stakeholders on internal and external IT capabilities and services. Independently presents the vision and strategic direction for the delivery and investment of IT services and solutions to strategic stakeholders.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills
1.Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS in MIS, Business or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of IT or related experience of which 5+ years of management experience within process, data and technology functions
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of strategic planning and decision making, navigating ambiguity, and building trusting relationships
  • Experience developing IT strategies and business plans
  • Experience with Portfolio Management. Ability to act as a strategic advisor to business leadership to guide investment decisions.
  • Demonstrated experiences in leading teams through change, building and inspiring highly professional teams.
  • Ability to identify, clarify and promote the best value-delivering opportunities for IT investments and ensure that promised value is delivered.
  • Financial acumen. Ability to manage the creation and delivery of IT budgets. Working knowledge of NPV, ROGI, etc. Ability to define and user metrics (scorecards, trend analysis, etc)
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen. Ability to identify and anticipate business needs, expectations and requirements for technology-based solutions. Demonstrated success in proactively solving business-related problems.
  • Drive for results. Ability to complete initiatives through Cargill Global IT and 3rd party vendors.
  • Demonstrated skills in applying IT industry knowledge to real-world business situations. Proactively seeks information and insights for industry, internal and external experts.
  • Demonstrated skills regarding influence, persuasion, communication, finance and organizational change
  • Exceptional skills in presenting to all levels of leadership in large group settings as well as one-on-one interactions with Platform, BU and functional leaders. Communicates with impact. Strength in synthesizing complex issues in a succinct and clear manner.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Ability to speak English fluently both in verbal and written format to be able to effectively communicate abstract, conceptual information in an effective manner

2.Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA, etc.)
  • Experience with capturing value of SAP or other ERP/Supply chain systems
  • Experience working with internal and external IT service providers
  • Knowledge of the SAP or ERP/Trading system solutions in Cargill
  • Experience in business process analysis and design
  • Six sigma or like disciplines
