We, at Siemens Digital Industries Software, are making strategic investments to be daring in this market by improving our vehicle aerodynamics simulation capabilities within inside Simcenter STAR-CCM+. A vehicle aerodynamics application specialist plays a meaningful role as a part of this strategy by taking solutions to the market while providing key customer/market insights to the product management and development teams. Our goal is to strengthen our automotive team by adding an experienced aerodynamicist to expedite our technical presence in the vehicle aerodynamics simulation space Join our team as “CCM Vehicle Aerodynamics Application Specialist” and work from our office in Prague (Czech Republic), Budapest (Hungary) or your nearest Siemens Software office from your home. We consider a mix between working with the team in the office and remotely from home. We are looking for an experienced vehicle aerodynamicist to join our application specialist team. You will be part of a team of technical specialists within the Fluid & Thermal Product Management Solution Domain, which works closely with product management, sales, customer support, and marketing to make Simcenter STAR-CCM+ the leading CFD solution for vehicle aerodynamics applications. In this role, you will be a global technical resource and a leader for vehicle aerodynamics and related applications, such as wind noise and water management. You will be responsible for generating technical and marketing materials to support Simcenter product sales, leading sophisticated technical engagements with customers and prospects, handling internal and external technical relationships, and providing business and technical mentorship into the product roadmap. You’ll help our customers drive digital innovation by Establish authority as a global technical guide in vehicle aerodynamics (cars, trucks, trains, etc.) and related applications, such as wind noise and water management Grow usage and business of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ for vehicle aerodynamics applications. Lead and handle technical engagements and collaborations You are responsible to build, maintain and distribute technical material, including but not limited to, benchmarks, journal/conference papers, standard methodology guidelines, technical/sales presentations, webinars, internal trainings, demonstration cases You will collaborate with industry managers for marketing campaigns, sales and support leaders to expedite technical sales, product management and development to improve software performance and quality You will provide sophisticated technical support to the global sales and support organizations, but also build the expertise of engineers within the organization, enabling them to support vehicle aerodynamics applications As a domain expert, you are encouraged to know and communicate the market trends and competitive landscape to guide both the product development and sales What do you need to realize what matters? Required work experience in simulating vehicle aerodynamics and related applications, such as wind noise (side mirror noise, sunroof buffeting) and water management (sensor/camera soiling, wiper simulation, etc.) Bachelors, Masters or PhD in mechanical/aerospace engineering (or related) with a focus on numerical methods for vehicle aerodynamics Expert user of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Expert knowledge in vehicle aerodynamics (low speed) and related CFD methods Advanced/basic knowledge in computational Aeroacoustics for wind noise applications Advanced/basic knowledge in multiphase simulations for water management applications Self-motivating, ability to work independently as well as in a team Good coordination and communications skills in a global environment Basic computer programming Preferred skills – not a must-have: Hands-on experience in wind tunnel operations and related measurement technology Basic knowledge of CAD packages such as Siemens NX Basic knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter Simulation (TcSim) Knowledge of other CFD codes and pre-processing tools Basic knowledge of JAVA, Python and C++ What we offer? 25 days of vacation 3 additional free days as so balled “bridge days” in each fiscal year Pension contribution at the rate of 3% of salary per year Lunch vouchers in value 100 CZK per working day Possibility to get for 550 CZK monthly multisport card Medical care by EUC premium Share / Stock matching plan We offer an international environment with more than 140,000 customers around the world who already rely on our expertise in digitization.
