Purpose of the Position:

Responsible for delivering all aspects of the Supplier Operations Quality Assurance function on an on-going basis in line with the Quality Management System, Quality Policy and Quality Agreement to ensure that CDT products and services are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations. Responsible for ensuring that suppliers continue to develop and implement best practice that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements to meet quality standards required, minimize quality costs and maximize customer. Responsible for providing leadership, outstanding people skills and management to a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Proactively ensures that key quality objectives and initiatives are closely aligned with CDT Division or Business objectives.

• Engage DSM team’s strategic activities including purchasing strategy, supplier selection/dis-qualification, inventory management and quality agreement

• Engage Engineering team’s new material qualification process, specification management and supplier process critical metrics assessment and ensure the process capability is effective to meet CDT’s product requirements

• Ensure supplier quality assurance system readiness and data traceability aligned with CDT’s requirement

• Measures CDT suppliers’ performance related to key quality objectives, performance/rating result and initiates corrective actions to achieve high performance/stretch goals through regular/irregular meeting.

• Enable suppliers' continuous improvement culture with annual target agreement to value CDT's quality requirement and customer satisfaction and drive cost of quality reduction

• Align Engineering team to define and document the change management criteria, procedure and enable suppliers’ discipline of compliance

• Lead suppliers' quality issue investigation activities to drive supplier's action plan through 8D methodology and update progress in SCAR system to align progress with DSM and Engineering team.

• Manage, coach and develop a high performing Supplier Quality team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements

• Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems

• Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards.

Requirement :

-Master or Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical degree 

-At least 7-10 years of working experience in supplier quality management. 

-Preferably has assumed roles on the Quality leadership. Required Skills 

-Experienced with Quality-related tools, system and concepts such as TQM, ISO and Six Sigma 

-Ability to influence and engage cross functional team to establish quality leadership and improve customer satisfaction and contribute to total cost reduction through Cost of Quality management. 

- Travel Requirements: 30-40%, possible international travel
