Eaton’s Aerospace Division has an opening for a CNC Grinding Operator. This position is based in Euclid, OH on the 2nd shift. The compensation for this role is $26.32 plus 0.50 shift differential. Position Overview: Set up, maintain, and operate CNC thread and surface grinders, manual O.D. grinders, I.D. grinder and honing machines and perform visual and dimensional inspections while maintaining accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5. In this function you will: Perform set up, which includes selection, mounting, balancing and truing wheel, securing work holding device/work rotating device setting speeds, feeds and drive dogs. Reference operational sketches and blueprints to determine size using a variety of mechanical and electronic precision measuring instruments during and after operation. Perform minor machine maintenance as needed. Conduct burr work internal to the cycle as needed. Perform necessary part marking. Maintain accurate lot control traceability, record keeping, logbook entries, NCR’s and associated documentation according to QCP. Chart, plot and react to data per SPC requirement. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Must reside within a 50 mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit is provided. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Minimum two (2) years of experience in the set-up and operation of precision production grinding machines Minimum one (1) year CNC grinding machines OR two (2) years other CNC set-up and operation machining experience This position is Safety Sensitive and is subject to random testing under our Drug and Alcohol Abatement program.
