Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a CNC Set Up Operator-2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Beaver, PA site. Pay Rate is $24.54/hour + a Shift Differential of $1.00/hour Shift Hours are 3:30PM-12AM EST Position Overview: The CNC Set Up Operator is a highly motivated and proficient operator of a battery of CNC machines. In this function you will: Setup and operate CNC machines to perform a variety of drilling, boring, reaming, threading, grinding, facing, and milling operations following specific instructions. Change collets and/or chucks, load and adjust tools as necessary. Load programs and set controls for manual operation. Initiate and ensure accurate tool settings and tape data input. Make minor edits to program including work shift correction and z-depth excluding thread milling depths and diameter edits. Check first piece using fixed or adjustable gauges and obtain approval from appropriate supervision prior to initiating production runs. Perform similar or associated duties as required or directed, including the operation of auxiliary equipment such as manual tapping arms, grinders, and sanders. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution required Minimum of two (2) years CNC machinist experience (including set up on both manual and CNC machines) Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Beaver, PA will be considered. Preferred qualifications: Technical Degree or Certificate in Machining Position Criteria: Experience working with blueprints, schematics, and related drawings Must pass the general aptitude test and be familiar with machine shop math. Must possess the physical ability to perform the tasks associated with the position. Position is required to work the 3:30 pm – 12:00 am shift. Required to become a member of Local Union 201 I.B.E.W. Demonstrated competency/knowledge in technical capacity, problem solving/analysis, decision making, learning orientation, and teamwork orientation.
