RWS Regulated Industries division: Provides a full suite of language services exclusively for highly regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, Financial services, and Legal industries.  This includes language solutions for clinical trial management and linguistic validation of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs), insurance, retail, commercial and investment banking, compliance, mergers & acquisitions and Litigation.

 

About The Role:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Clinical Outcome Assessments, Linguistic Validation, the COA Partnership Director will manage the COA Partnership team, which is responsible for oversight of all Linguistic Validation accounts, by providing customers with strong customer service and effective solutions. The COA Partnership Director has team management responsibilities, including mentoring, monitoring, and assisting with the workload of team members. You will participate in client visits, presentations, RFP submission and bid defense meetings as required by the Sales team to broaden services with existing clients and develop relationships with new prospects.

The COA Partnership Director proactively ensures high client retention and growth within the LV team by working closely with project, account and solutions teams to develop, coordinate and execute strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, and growth programs across interconnected accounts. This role is also responsible for the implementation of account-specific programs (workflows, technology, project management, vendors, department/process improvements, new service development) to achieve set targets for profitability, client satisfaction, on time delivery, and quality. The COA Partnership Director oversees the execution of these programs across all LV accounts, monitors team performance against targets, and ensures appropriate real-time interventions required to achieve targets.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understands and adheres to company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements including but not limited to ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 standards.
  • Partners with LV Operations to ensure and maximize customer satisfaction across all LV clients.
  • Partners with RI Account Management team to align strategies and goals necessary for client success.
  • Contributes to annual budgeting exercises, ensuring that both the overall LV revenue budget and sponsor-specific budgets are reasonable and achievable.
  • Partners with LV Business Development and RI Account Management to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Completes evaluation of department members in a timely and professional manner for the purpose of ensuring that department and individual goals are met.
  • Oversees Linguistic Validation work for key client accounts, serving as a primary point of contact and facilitator. Serves as an escalation point for issues encountered by clients.
  • Handles questions from COA Partnership Managers for the purpose of resolving issues and implementing corrective measures as necessary to ensure proper workflow and client satisfaction.
  • Uses revenue forecasting and sales pipeline data, seeking to grow revenue opportunities for LV client accounts.
  • Monitors process performance against profitability, on time delivery, and quality targets. Proactively identifies risks to ensure attainment of targets and engages cross functionally to mitigate risks.
  • Visits clients in person as necessary, working to determine satisfaction levels and opportunities for improvement. Attends conferences on behalf of RWS Linguistic Validation, as required.
  • Participates in RFP response generation and bid defense presentations for key clients requiring Linguistic Validation Services as required.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Four-year college/university degree in Business, English, Foreign Language, Social or Applied Sciences, or another related field. Master’s or MBA a plus.
  • More than five years demonstrated experience coordinating complex projects within the localization or translation industry.
  • Successful customer service/account management experience, generally a minimum of six years, including at least five years’ experience within the translation industry.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership or mentoring experience, minimum of four years.
  • Advanced computing skills, including experience with TRADOS and other translation management tools (CAT, or Computer Aided Translation tools) and publishing applications (e.g., Frame Maker, InDesign, etc.).
  • PMP Certification a plus.
  • Verbal and written fluency in at least one foreign language a plus.

 

Travel Requirements

Approximately 20% on the road/overnight travel per year for client visits.

Base Pay:

$ 110000 - $ 140000/ year

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
