Duties:

To assist in consultancy, training & education, publicity & information, research functions of the Council; and to undertake other duties as assigned by the Council.

Requirements:

• A recognized degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, in engineering, science or other related disciplines;
• Applicants for the post of Consultant should have the qualification of Registered Safety Officer and 3 years of relevant working experience; applicants with less than 3 years relevant working experience will be considered for the post of Associate Consultant. Preference will be given to those who are already Registered Safety Officer;
• Possession of post-qualification working experience in establishing occupational safety and health (OSH) management system; risk assessment, safety inspection and accident investigation; research and data analysis; promotion and education of occupational safety and health; and other OSH consultancy related duties will be a definite advantage;
• Have in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong OSH Regulations & Standards, Code of Practices, and OSH good practices;
• Possess an analytical mind with good communication skills and genuine interest in community work;
• Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English;
• Strong motivation and good interpersonal skill

The appointee would be required to work at non-office hours and undertake outdoor duties. Successful appointee will be employed on contract terms.
