Provide controlling and planning specialist expertise to the COE and its customers within one
of the Process Areas as part of the COE service offerings.

Your responsibilities

  • · Supports the development of global common processes and drives
  • implementation in own geographical area (Country, Region or Global)
  • · Performs controlling tasks and activities as well as providing in-depth
  • knowledge within one or multiple Processes within own geographical area of
  • the COE (Country, Region or Global).
  • · Relevant processes are:
  • i) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) – business analytical services
  • to the business, based on customer requirements. Automated
  • tools/reports design, implementation and maintenance. Semiautomated
  • and manual analytical services, and one-off (ad-hoc)
  • analytical output.
  • ii) Cost Accounting – overall responsibility for financial Cost Accounting,
  • including product standard costing, maintenance and absorption
  • analysis.
  • iii) Reporting and Legal entity controlling – legal and non-legal entity
  • controlling, governance and assurance. Cost control and allocation
  • models.
  • iv) Systems and Master Data Governance – charts of account, Business
  • Warehouse tools.
  • v) Functional Controlling – controlling, budgeting, cost control, charging
  • mechanisms, tax compliance and Business Partnering within
  • respective Function
  • vi) Special Projects within the controlling area

Your background

  • · Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting or Business administration.
  • · Robust process understanding from the content and technical (IT) perspective.
  • · Good understanding of ABB business set-up and interconnections.
  • · Ability to interact with Process stakeholders at various levels.
  • Challenges: Lead improvement initiatives on
  • regional level and/or own
  • geographical area
  • Typically Specialist with Regional responsibility
  • Participate in initiatives in own
  • geographical area
  • Typically Specialist with Country responsibility
  • · Good communication skills.
  • · Good problem solving; analytical skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
  • · Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives; focus on details
  • · Detail oriented; structured.
  • · Strong MS Office skills.
  • · Proficient in IT systems: ERP, Planning & Reporting tools and integrated solutions.
  • · Understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows across organization at business
  • and finance-side.
  • · Fluent in English, local language.
