The CPQ logic coder is responsible for capturing and maintaining the product configuration rules and creating SQL logic to enforce the rules in the Experlogix CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tool.  This person will work with the development team to capture the product configuration rules and then perform database configuration and SQL queries based on the configuration rules. This person will perform the initial validation to ensure the logic is sound and then present it to the team for an additional round of verification. This person would also work with sites on the transition from design released L10 BOMs to CPQ generated configuration orders.

 

The ideal candidate has 6-8 years of experience with SQL database configuration/queries,  CRM Fetch XML, and product data management tools. This person should have good experience in documenting the logic so that future modifications can easily be modified without impacting functionality. The candidate will own all aspects of logic coding within the CPQ tool and will work with the extended team to make sure the tool functions correctly.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with PLM and TPL groups within the CTO organization to fully define and understand the configuration rules for a given product/platform and capture these rules in the configuration rules file (Excel based).

• Own and maintain the product attributes file (Excel based). Use product attributes from Enovia (engineering database) to define key data that supports the configuration rules. This requires an understanding of product data management tools.

• Define the product-specific variables and lookup tables within Experlogix CPQ that cannot be defined in Enovia.

• Implement the configuration rules into SQL database configurations and queries.

• Perform the initial testing/validation of the models and then oversee the testing from PLM and TPL to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Review and understand Celestica products (networking, storage, server) and understand how they are configured.

• Review, analyze and evaluate the business/user needs and business strategies and apply to the Experlogix CPQ database.

• Work with sites on the transition from design released L10 BOMs to CPQ generated configuration orders.

 

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience with SQL database configuration/queries and CRM Fetch XML. 

• Entrepreneurship, positive attitude, ability, desire, and willingness to make an impact.

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and communication skills (both verbal and written). Needs to speak and write in English.

• Proven success in the development and sustainment of SQL database configurations and queries.

Demonstrated ability to problem solve and ensure deadlines are met and expectations exceeded
