An advanced CPU Si debug tool development team is seeking a candidate with computer science or engineering background to contribute in the development and validation of the new generation of the debug tool. The candidate should have knowledge of SW development, scripting, debugging, computer architecture, digital logic, and microprocessors. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Participating in development and validation of the next generation of post-Si debug tool.

• Implementing new test execution automation flows and processing software and scripts.

• Executing unit, validation, integration and regression tests.

• Triaging and debugging failures.

• Implementing SW tools for test coverage detection and tracking.

• Creative problem solving.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

3+ years of experience with the following:

• SW development, testing and debug

• Solid Python and/or Perl skills, preferably C/C++

• Unix environment

• Computer architecture

• Tolerance and ability to work with ambiguity

• Desire to learn and take initiative

• Strong communications skills

• Familiarity with Agile methodology

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• x86 Assembly

• Post-silicon debug and analysis

• Hardware modeling language, such as Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog and industry standard logic simulation tools

• Test writing/generation, coverage analysis, failure debug, root cause analysis
