As a Building Specialist you will to partner with both Intel and our supplier teams to help keep the facility conditions in working order, both functionally and esthetically. In doing so responsibilities will include documenting these conditions and drive issues to resolution as needed.

As Building Specialist your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Participate in monthly IFM (Integrated Facilities Management) Quality Audits, document findings and follow up closure.
Partner with both Intel and our supplier teams to help keep the facility conditions in working order, both functionally and aesthetically.
Assist the Intel site CS Team in keeping the Facilities Condition Assessment database updated.
Identify on demand projects work related to building and site maintenance
Create IFM related communications for site distribution
Verify any IFM signage is branded and updated and partner w/ Site Service rep to update any pandemic site signage, as needed
Manage the budget and maintain records with the goal to operate within the allocation, but also exercising good judgment to manage exceptions and emerencies.
Ensure property taxes are timely paid and reported.
Conduct daily rounds of site EV chargers to verify they are fully operational and for those that are not interface with the site supplier to resolution
Conduct daily rounds of landscaping areas that have been deemed critical to the site (i.e. site entrances, office building entrances, etc) and if any discrepancies such as excessive weeds, overgrown vegetation etc. are found, escalate to IFM Landscaping Manager; Critical landscaping list can be provided by site IFM Sponsor/Landscaping Manager
Conduct daily rounds of lighting in each office building lobby, each caf and the kitchenettes and if any lighting is out, submit work orders (WO) to have light bulbs replaced
Conduct daily rounds of each site dock and verify that they are clean and relatively free of trash/debris, that safety showers are accessible and not blocked, all dock levelers are operational, bump stoppers are not severely worn, compactors are fully operational, not leaking or blocked and that all lights are operational; Submit WOs for any discrepancies found on the docks that need to be addressed.
Conduct daily rounds of the walkway/hallways that typically get the most foot traffic within each office building and verify if the flooring in the areas is clean; If flooring (i.e. carpet) needs to be cleaned or tiles need replacing, submit WO to have it addressed
Document and escalate safety issues such as pallet staging and storage in hallways and office space, abandoned equipment and other office clutter causing egress and fire hazards.
Track issues using identified program tracker. Submit tickets for issues. Follow up on repairs.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related area.
Intermediate to Advanced English Level

1+ years of experience in the following areas: Facilities planning and layout, architectural/interior design principles; Project management and move coordination in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Unrestricted Costa Rican work permit

Preferred Qualifications:

Computer skills
Outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint
Smartsheet
General Maintenance of Building Envelope (i.e. Roof, Structure, Architectural, Materials, etc)
NFPA and Building Code certifications
