The CTO Organization is ensuring that Daimler Trucks & Buses IT (DT&B IT) solutions are best in technology as well as most flexible to enable responsiveness to changing customer needs and technology trends. Our global CTO ambassadors help in transformation to an agile delivery model and support adoption of the strategic tools & platforms through facilitating the IT community and encouraging sharing code, services and best practices.

We are looking for an FOSS enthusiast with software development background as part of Daimlers Trucks & Buses open source strategy who helps us to setup setup a FOSS CoC and guides the organization in using FOSS within our products, while linking it to our agile working models to keep the speed in the development teams.

Your tasks will be:

• Acting as a Single Point of Contact for knowledge and guidance about Free and Open Source Software and agile methodologies
  
• Build up together with the Management and the Ambassadors an Organization around FOSS at Daimler Trucks & Buses
  
• Support the definition of the FOSS strategy and manifesto beyond the borders of IT
  
• Being in close contact with legal to define lean processes and implement those in day to day work of our teams
  
• Foster agile methodologies company wide
  
• Encourage the use of FOSS in our company culture and our new products
  
• Establishing awareness/training activities to enable understanding of FOSS and it’s processes
  
• Help to setup CTO Events to raise the awareness around FOSS and agile methodologies
  
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project team areas as appropriate
  
• Support the global Cloud ambassador team and the IT community to leverage knowledge exchange and share best practices
