As part of the innovation and camera engineering team the camera SW engineer will accelerate world class solutions to the market with our customers by enabling both internal solutions and working with external partners. The effort spans Intel platform lifecycle but is concentrated on bringing customer products to life. He/She will work closely with planning architecture engineering and customers to ensure quality solutions are developed and deployed to meet our customer needs. The person will work to understand how to integrate the camera subsystem into customer products with focus on developing throughout the customer development cycle. He/She will work with the team to identify solutions and deliver them to customers by partnering with development engineers at source code level to prepare and debug solutions. The candidate will develop a growing and consistent knowledge of their products and will use this effectively to support product introduction and production ramp

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Computer or Related Engineering Field with 3 years of experience or Masters Degree with 2 years of experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of SW architecture for drivers with understanding across driver to middleware to applications for PC and tablets for Windows
• Proven ability to work with source code with strong programming skills C andor C
• Familiar with Agile development process and toolsets from source code control backlog control scrum running to release
• Experience with PC hardware and software architecture including device driver BIOS ACPI Tables and i2C controlUnderstand Imaging sensor technology and sensor driver for Windows and LinuxDesired knowledge of camera image pipeline including image signal processing algorithms and the image quality tuning process
• Competencies
• Initiative and flexibility to drive multiple projects concurrently and define priorities as needed to meet customer and internal program objectives
• Track record of problem solving including hands on expertise with debugging tools and resolving system level bugs
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience engaging external vendors and customers especially with camera ecosystem
• Effectively works across multiple sites geographies and cultures including manage work balance and ability to travel
