Capital Market Sales in Taipei


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a business relationship with existing/potential customers in collaboration with the Clients Relationship Manager, where applicable
  • Be responsible for a portfolio of professional customers with a substantial business potential for FM products in the area of investing and mitigating risks.
  • Create, identify, evaluate and explore commercial opportunities for existing and prospective customers. Target the conclusion of transactions that increase FM’s ‘share of wallet’, with due consideration to the customer’s as well as ING (FM)’s interests.
  • Closely track current developments on the international financial markets, acquire information at the product, customer and industry level and interpret this information such that commercial opportunities that contribute to the objectives of Financial Markets can be concluded, with due consideration to the customer’s as well as ING (FM)’s interests.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with relevant colleagues, particularly in Trading and Research, for the purpose of arriving at an optimal balance between commercial opportunities for the customer and ING's target risk profile.
  • Develop an internal network (nationally and internationally) of colleagues and relevant external parties who are instrumental to gathering relevant information, achieving commercial objectives and increasing my own professionalism.
  • Integrate established policy in areas such as strategy, customer strategy and initiatives, risk and compliance into my daily work activities within the team
  • To meet Compliance Objectives :
    • be adequately trained and familiar with the relevant dealer licensing and regulatory requirements pertaining to the markets in which you operate; and be aware of the relevant local financial industry code of conduct (e.g. Taipei Compliance Code) which impacts my daily role;

    • be conversant in and compliant with the relevant ING policies/procedures including the FM Global Trading & Sales Practices Manual, FM Global Chatroom Code of Conduct, FM Professional Ethics on Communications, ING Orange Code; Taipei Compliance Code, Bank Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Minimum Standard, Whistleblower Policy

  • be familiar with the cross-border sales/marketing parameters, client suitability and Gift & Entertainment policies.
  • where any possible compliance violations come to my attention (e.g. market abuse or inappropriate behaviours carrying reputational risk consequences), immediately escalate to Compliance and FM Management.

Person specifications/key competencies


  • Minimum 2 years of experience as dealing room sales or other directly related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, phone, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial market products, industry compliance and risk management standards.
  • A reliable, responsible and and prudent team player.
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Seek opportunity in challenge, rejection and failure.
