The Capital Projects Fixed Asset Manager position is accountable for monitoring and governing the Fixed Asset accounting and Inter-company billing processes.  The position will ensure an efficient and effective process is in place, recommends and implements changes as needed and maintains compliance with Finance guidelines and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to define, monitor & govern capital project Fixed Asset accounting     requirements in support of business goals.

• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms to properly record fixed assets.

• Support the monthly review of CAPEX Project closures ensuring timely creation of Fixed Assets.

• Facilitate project financial/accounting Fixed Asset decisions to insure all stakeholder expectations are aligned and compliant; recommend to management any updates to accounting policies as needed.

• Ensure the Creation, Recording and Disposal of Fixed Assets meet compliance guidelines.

• Ensure sufficient Tracking of project costs into fixed asset accounts, as well as the closure of these accounts once the related projects are completed.

Review & Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the project summary-level account in the general ledger.

• Ensure the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation complies with corporate guidelines.

• Collaborate across teams (i.e. project managers, controllers and service center) to resolve issues and respond to queries related to various fixed asset topics.

• Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.

• Properly maintain Fixed Asset documentation to meet SOX requirements and assist the auditors in their Fixed Asset inquiries.

• Represent the company during any audits by a government that involves fixed assets.

• Support monthly reviews of the Engineering & Project Execution Cost Center spending, ensuring the timeliness of Inter-company transactions. 

• Support the review and execution of Inter-company journal entries as needed for projects.

• Support the monthly review of Inter-company travel & entertainment expenses to projects.

• Facilitate the creation of inter-company agreements and processes as needed.

• Other special projects as requested

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field

• 5-8 years of accounting experience required.

• Knowledge, interest, or experience of SAP, SAP Business Intelligence (BI), and SAP Business Planning  and Consolidations (BPC)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Advanced User in Microsoft Excel utilizing Pivot tables, Formula Writing, and Data.

 • Condition coding experience is required; SharePoint Experience Required;

• Excellent interpersonal, written, oral and presentation communication skills

• High attention to detail

• Ability to participate in cross-functional, teamwork oriented environment

• Ability to work independently and create quality results

• Affinity towards the use of technology as a competitive advantage

• Ability to manage large amounts of information efficiently and to formulate such into analyses, trends, and insights

• High energy, self-starter, motivated, and action oriented

Preferred Requirements

• 3-5 years of Fixed Assets experience a plus.

• Power BI or Tableau a plus.
