Change the future with us Is accountable for Defining and executing the technical requirements for the implementation of welding application in the Carbody assembly. Responsible for reviews during the design phase of welded assemblies of Complete locomotive. Responsible for reviewing all welding documentation before release to production or suppliers. Support for Qualification of the welded assemblies by reviewing the WPS, PQR or the RWPS according to AWS or EN/ISO standards. Functional reporting to group lead & Disciplinary reporting Carbody Team leader in India. Collaborate with other Engineering sub-functional groups to manage requirements and provide inputs for interfacing with Design, Calculation & Industrial Engineering. Depth knowledge in welding process like SMAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW. Knowledge of CODE like EN287, EN15614, EN 15085, AWS D1.1,etc.. Good understanding of mechanical designing concepts and design of machine members. Sound knowledge on Metal Fatigue, Weld design, material behavior, mechanical vibrations, mechanics etc. Should be able to perform necessary design calculations and analysis Use your skills to move the world forward Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years’ relevant experience in Carbody domain preferably in Locomotives. Metro or Trainset experience can also be considered. IWE / EWE certification or experience as a welding specialist will be an added advantage. Experience of Visual Testing (VT), RT, UT, DPT & MPI. Ability to implement existing process and approaches in his domain. Show Problem-solving competence. Knowhow and use Creo, PDM link & SAP will be added advantage. Has already worked (preferably) with Train builders. Able to demonstrate management of engineering teams. Being agile, ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadline. Able to work in an international & multicultural environment within a matrix organization structure. Good written and spoken communication skills (in English). Ready to travel locally and internationally as in when required by projects.
