Category Development & Analysis Manager
The purpose of this role is to drive ITR (International Travel Retail) performance through analysis, insights and category growth initiatives. This role will oversee the management & development of tools to track sales KPIs (share, distribution, etc), identification of market trends & insights, performance tracking templates aligned with data availability and business priorities, and drive category development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for business intelligence, category & channel insights and trends identification for ITR
- Provide concise, clear reporting on performance and actionable recommendations for portfolio & category growth
- Accountable to manage the compilation of retail sales data and the development of the Compass database for ITR, as well as other future system-based solutions for this purpose
- Use tools & insights to position Mars Wrigley ITR as best in class for data-based category understanding & analysis with our customers
- Standardization of tools used (aligned with Reinvention workstreams) and drive process automation
- Provide the sales & marketing teams with reporting to track delivery against KPIs. This includes responsibility for timeliness and accuracy of ongoing operational reports such as DBP and periodic input for S&OP scorecards or similar reports as required
- Responsible for the channel & customer performance review process; develop standardized performance tracking tools that align with business priorities for Airport, BAS, Military channels and customers, empowering customer teams to run their individual reviews
- Own and lead key annual processes such as PQA and range simplification as feeders into the annual planning process for ITR
- Strengthen the category vision by tailoring it to be relevant to ITR, based on category & channel insights and analysis, to facilitate its deployment by Customer Marketing & Sales
- Oversee ad-hoc research and budgets which are to be managed within ITR and in alignment with the SDL team
You will be responsible to drive the data, insights and fact-based decision-making agenda in ITR. You will play a critical role in driving sales team performance through category & channel insights, analysis and KPI tracking. He/she will be an important contributor of category and channel insights to the marketing team to support portfolio management. The role requires strong analytical skills, a mindset of digitization and high business acumen. He/she will need to manage diverse internal stakeholders and provide concise & compelling business reviews and recommendations. The job holder will need to continually demonstrate in-depth category and market knowledge.

- Sales, brand/customer marketing, and research & analysis experience will be relevant
- 7-8 years of work experience
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
