Job Description:

• Market research, tenders, negotiations and contracts for MRO purchasing in Japan
• Implementation of material field strategy and supplier management
• Internal customer management and early involvement of the Internal customers;
• Conducting RfQ process for projects according to signature rules and projects assigned by manager
• Concluding and managing contracts for assigned suppliers
• First contact window for internal customer, support to solve escalation cases acc. to communication plan
• Mentorship for assigned suppliers incl. supplier release, supplier evaluation, supplier eliminating (operational supplier management).
• Data entry, maintenance and quality control of IT-systems (incl. SRM)
• Data Consolidation upon request in order to follow up demand management

Professional competencies
• Practicing purchasing basic principles including quality management;
• Negotiation skills (also in difficult situations) incl. advanced negotiations methods
• Experience with purchasing methods and IT tools for Indirect Purchasing
• Cost analysis within Indirect Purchasing
• Engineer background is a plus
• Supply Chain Optimization (material field strategy, purchasing processes, supplier development).
• Contract law and legal requirements, compliance
• Project management and moderation skills

Personal requirements
• Bachelor degree and above
• Be able to work in English environment

• Fluent in Japanese, level to perform negotiation.

• Good practical experience in MS Office and SAP
• Willingness to travel
• Good communication skill and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
• Intercultural competence
