l Develop Category Strategies for the assigned Global Categories

l Ensure alignment of Category Strategies with Business requirements and objectives

l Drive cost savings through LCC sourcing, supplier rationalization, VAVE, etc.

l Manage Supplier Contract and make price negotiations

l Work with engineering to participate in Modularity projects, drive and track the saving projects and update the category strategy

l Support Material Best Business Practice (MBBP) initiatives for the respective categories

l Actively support & participate in resolving Supplier Delivery, Quality or Commercial issues which have been escalated to Category team

l Coordination and tracking implementation of category strategy for respective categories across plants

l Make and improve cost analysis to achieve savings target

l Lead supply base rationalization and supplier development activities

l Support of proper Make or Buy decisions

l Meet or exceed profit plan goals for the related categories, cost Savings, TWC (Trade Working Capital), etc.

l Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma preferably in Engineering

l Additional qualification in Supply Chain Management would be preferred

l Min. 8-10 years working experience in HVAC, Engineering, Large Manufacturing or Multi-industry global organization

l Min. 5 years of experience in a Strategic Sourcing role

l In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices

l Strong costing & analytical skills

l Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to interact with team to reach team goals and business objectives

l Ability to take actions, decisions & to generate ideas, processes in promised timely manner; involvement in designs or other work requiring creative imagination

l Good presentation skill

l Fluency in written and spoken English, Chinese and/or Japanese
