Responsibilities:
Develops long term strategic plans for agreed scope of spend area
Advises on and drives procurement strategies to make decisions necessary to purchase products and services in congruence with organisational objectives
Oversees implementation of category plan to ensure that the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans
Manages strategic relationships (customer and supplier) - to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business need and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies.
Works with relevant Category Director/ Associate Director(s) to ensure a fully integrated and customer-aligned AZ-wide category plan
Works alongside various teams in GPS in advising on and driving procurement strategies to make decisions necessary to purchase products and services in congruence with organisational objectives
Advises on contracts, agreements and sourcing strategies for the supply of complex products and services with new and existing suppliers
Develops, evaluates or manages internal and external relationships with suppliers and other cross-functional teams
Areas of specialization: TERTIARY PACKAGING: (CORRUGATED BOARD, DRUMS, OTHER, PACK./ARTWORK, PALLETS, SHRINK WRAP); COURIER SERVICES (INTL. EXPRESS DEL., NTL. EXPRESS DEL.); DUTIES (CUSTOMS BROKERAGE)
Requirements:
Degree level or equivalent qualifications
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to influence others on different levels of organization
Procurement experience in managing global or regional categories of spend & category strategy creation and implementation on many markets
Significant experience in international & matrix environment
Change management- ability to undertakes projects or initiatives to improve performance, seize opportunities or address key challenge
Desirable:
Good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrated ability to indirectly lead people in a global environment in cross-functions teams
