Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Category Manager Fasteners Aerospace to join our team. Remote work is available. Position Overview: The Category Manager will support the Aerospace Group globally by creating and executing an Integrator Strategy that supports each business to achieve its strategic objectives, the plants to increase productivity and operational performance as well as ongoing and future acquisitions. Being a business partner to the AEROSPACE Group, the Category Manager will work with the businesses and plants to collect relevant inputs to the Enterprise Category Strategy and derives the global Aerospace Integrator Strategy as well as the applicable strategy for each business from the approved Enterprise Category Strategy and leads deployment and execution of the Aerospace Integrator Strategy. In this function you will: Assume profit & loss impacting responsibility for $35M of spend, ~70 suppliers, >10,000 individual parts across 4 divisions in 6 different countries. Mitigate the inherent risks of this highly fragmented structure through internal and external negotiations and a robust Category Strategy. Forms cross-functional teams (Product Line, Operations, Engineering, Quality) within each division and leads these teams to successful execution of the Integrator Strategy. Engage fully along the value chain, from sub-tier suppliers to customers, to ensure Eaton's and its customer's interests are protected along the economic cycle. Lead such and other negotiations with the suppliers independently and is responsible for the negotiation results. Be a consultant to the divisions and plants in the Aerospace Group on Fastener- and Integrator-related subjects. Challenge the status quo, influences stakeholders up to Divisional VP/GM Level and is able to get buy in for the Category Strategy and resulting Programs across all levels of the organization. Independently build the Aerospace Integrator Strategy, incorporating the required significant changes to the supplier landscape and with special attention to successfully supporting ongoing acquisitions as well as preparing for future acquisition-readiness. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (Engineering, Business Administration) 5 Years Supply Chain experience in a globalized manufacturing environment Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Advanced Negotiation skills, basic finance skills, basic technical skills Masters degree Position Criteria: Whilst the role is covering predominantly Fasteners, the Category Manager will be expected to also have sound technical understanding of Springs, Stampings, O-Rings, Seals, Turned Parts and other products, that might be sourced through the suppliers that have been selected as Integrators to the Aerospace Group. Key Performance Indicators the Category Manager is impacting beyond the traditional Procurement metrics are time to market with complex New Product Development projects, End to End margins of complex and dynamic assemblies as well as manufacturing plant fix costs. Creative problem solving skills are required to ensure a continuous improvement mentality is incorporated into the DNA of the Category Manager led cross-functional teams and the suppliers the Category Manager manages. Self-initiative, able to influence and engage people, able to communicate strategies and tactical actions to audiences of all levels of seniority, resilience to sustain performance under pressure, able to manage many projects in parallel.
