Job Description

The Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is looking for an energetic and motivated Catering Sales Manager who is looking for a great opportunity that will foster growth within their hospitality career!  The ideal candidate will have experience in total account management within the catering / events sales market.  Through your passion and motivation, you sell memorable experiences to guests who stay in your property.  You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, you build strong relationships and create bonds with your guests.  You are a multi-tasker and are able to work independently, performing a wide range of sales duties to reach your individual and hotel goals.  You communicate well with all contacts, anticipate and resolve issues, and update the team on various projects. One to two years of experience in catering / event sales. Versed in Delphi, Opera and Outlook. Ability to work evenings and weekends.

    What you will be doing:

o     oversee local catering and banquet business booked, reach consistent achievement of sales objectives

o    Specific focus on total catering event management within the local catering market within a variety of other segments.

o    Establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices and seal contracts

o    Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details

 

Your experience and skills include:

§  Relevant sales experience is an asset

§  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

§  Highly responsible & reliable

§  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required

§  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
