We’re looking for a passionate, articulate, and enthusiastic Account Executive
to bring in net new Central Government clients to Lenovo. This is a true
hunter role, with a significant amount of prospecting and relationship
building. You will create positive business outcomes for your clients by
engaging with prospective clients using inbound/outbound sales techniques
including extensive teaming with channel partners. You will work in an
entrepreneurial start-up environment and will report to our Sr. Sales Manager
based in the UK as well.
What tasks are waiting for you in this role?
• Establish relationships with Central Government clients to secure contracts
with new customers to achieve assigned sales quotas and targets
• Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed
sales
• Adopt a consultative selling approach leveraging our broad portfolio of
Software Defined, server and storage solutions to deliver client value.
• Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as cold
calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking.
Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as
the range of options and cost benefits of each.
• Take the lead in producing and delivering proposals and tender responses for
clients, work with technical staff and product specialists where required to
address customer requirements
• Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be
met on an ongoing basis
• Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for
company to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying
processes and forecasted sales
• Cultivate strong relationships with third party vendors and channel partners
that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers
• Build relationships with third party Systems Integrators who are influential
in Central Government decision making
• Work with Lenovo’s marketing team to plan and execute marketing activities
and lead generation campaigns
#### Position Requirements:
What do we expect from you?
• 5+ years sales experience in the Enterprise Data Center market with a proven
track record of success selling into Central Government clients.
• Ability to sell Data Center solutions consisting of servers, storage,
software, hybrid cloud, Edge devices and including the supporting management
software and services.
• Deep understanding of the core technologies, industry trends, and workloads
shaping the Enterprise Data Center market including Cloud, Converged Systems,
and AI.
• Fundamental understanding of common Linux and Windows server applications.
• Ability to contact, qualify, develop and close leads face to face, by phone,
by chat, and by email.
• Proficient with MS Office and sales CRM solutions (Dynamics).
• Excellent communication and sales skills.
• Hunter mentality- Knows how to create opportunities, and close transactional
deals
