We require a Centre Principal of the NCUK IFY and GD/PMP in Tianshui, Gansu, China. Set in a leading key school, in a relatively beautiful part of China, this is an exciting opportunity to get involved with a new NCUK delivery partner from the early stages. Priority will be given to candidates who can also deliver Academic English teaching experience are also welcome to apply. Teaching will commence in Aug. 2014. Qualifications and Experience:
1. Academic qualification at post-graduate or equivalent level or relevant professional qualifications (TEFLQ for EAP teaching; see below*) (Essential).
2. Relevant teaching experience. (Essential). Normally a minimum of five years teaching experience, can teach either course of EAP/Business/Economics/Maths/Research Methods
3. Education management experience (Essential). Normally a minimum of five years education management experience.
4. An understanding of UK/Western higher education and the needs and requirements of international students (Essential).
5. Direct experience of higher education in an international context (Essential).
6. An understanding and experience of International Foundation Programmes (Essential)
7. Experience of academic assessment and standards and of quality assurance procedures (Essential).
8. Specific experience of education in English speaking countries (Desirable).
9. Experience of the development of academic programmes (Desirable).
10. An understanding and appreciation of private sector education (Desirable).

*NB: In broad terms, TEFLQ refers to a teacher who has a recognised diploma (Trinity or DELTA). An MA in Applied Linguistics or ELT-related subject is not normally TEFLQ as there is no teaching practice involved, but these qualifications are easily converted to TEFLQ. TEFLI refers to a teacher who has a recognised certificate (Trinity or CELTA). For both TELFI and TELFQ, other qualifications may be acceptable.
