JOB ROLE

As the Change Management Lead you will work to identify how change affects IT and AZ functions and take a lead role in designing and implementing processes that ensure effective collaboration between multi-functional, multi skilled teams, promoting alignment and integration and will provide thought leadership and support to ensure successful adoption and consumption of process, organizational and technology changes

Accountabilities:

  • Leading and developing the change management & communications team within Strategy & Execution

  • Develops and builds or acts a specialist in implementing new strategies and communicating new visions

  • Responsible for IT transformational change strategies, governance and communications

  • Develops and leads a comprehensive change management and communications strategy and implementation plan that drives engagement, adoption and consumption of process, organizational and technology changes

  • Provides thought leadership, direction and acts as trusted internal advisor to ITLT and Senior Leaders to drive the transformational change strategy

  • Works with AZ stakeholders and colleagues to evaluate transformational programs and define change requirements against prioritization principles and capacity requirements

  • Supports the IT2025 Program Manager to develop and implement comprehensive plans to drive adoption of IT2025

  • Partners with HR, Corp Comms and IT COEs to define and fulfill change enablement plans

  • Ensures efficient and effective leadership and management of project information, quality of data and integrity of information supplied

  • Leads or coordinates and advises on major change initiatives ensuring that the right resources are engaged and organisational capacity to support and consume change and associated risks are communicated with ITLT and senior stakeholders

  • Leads the governance of major change initiatives ensuring best practice change processes are followed to AstraZeneca standards

  • Networks with colleagues and specialists to agree priorities, providing strategy advice and serving as a resource for others by sharing experience and mentoring within and beyond project team and own function

Essential Requirements: Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in an appropriate subject area

  • Experience in Business Strategy and Portfolio within a pharmaceutical or clinical background

  • Proven experience in providing change management services, with experience supporting technology implementations and complex enterprise change initiatives

  • Project management skills in delivering internal projects and with external partners

  • Experience with performance measurement tools, techniques, industry best practices and internal methodologies

  • Influencing and negotiating skills

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in delivering transformation change strategies & governance

  • Excellent communications skills including senior stakeholder engagement

  • Able to develop short and long-term plans to execute strategic priorities

  • Strong organizational awareness, business acumen, and customer orientation

  • Highly skilled at facilitation and information gathering

  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to direct and engage teams to achieve strategic objectives

  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve complex escalated issues

Desirable Requirements:

Experience or working in or partnering with Senior Management within:

  • IT Leadership teams,

  • Change Management community of practitioners within AZ

  • HR including HRBP’s, Organizational Development Leads, Learning & Development

  • Corporate Affairs and communications partners
