Salary: 25K-35K

Main duties and responsibilities:

Planning and Setting Expectations:
• Set expectations for students and the school in relation to standards of student achievement and the quality of teaching.
• Collaborate with all department staff to ensure teaching is set to match students’ needs.
• Contribute to, with the involvement of the relevant staff, short, medium and long term plans for the school and department development.
Identify realistic and challenging targets for student improvement Clarity regarding actions to be taken, timescales, and criteria for success
Diligently follow the scheme of work for each class as approved by the Head of Department, ensuring alignment with overall curriculum goals.
• Work with the relevant coordinator or team to develop and maintain the curriculum, ensuring vertical articulation to prepare students' knowledge and skills for studies for IB.


Teaching and managing Student Learning:
• Curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression in all areas for all students, including those of high ability and those with learning support needs
• Collaboration and reflection on teaching and learning methods are used to meet the needs of the department and of all students
• Setting and marking students’ work accurately and promptly, giving additional guidance and work according to their needs.
• Ensuring he/she is fully aware of all the school’s policies relating to students and act accordingly to
protect and enhance the physical and emotional welfare of the students
• Effectively teach a variety of assigned classes, adapting to different student needs and contexts.
Supervise extended essays or IA in the subject area as required.
Provide regular and appropriate feedback to students to guide their learning progress. Provide personal tutoring to students during scheduled office hours.
